How can you help?
Volunteering at the shelter
There are many ways to be involved.
For any more information please email the team who will be glad to help.
Volunteers aren’t paid, not because they’re worthless but because they’re priceless.
By volunteering even an hour of your time you will make a huge difference to that particular animals life. In order to volunteer you must be over the age of 16 years or over 14 if accompanied by an adult. If you volunteer we ask that you be committed and try where possible to be there, or give as much notice as you can if not able to make it. The animals will rely on you.
Street collections are a vital way to raise money for the animals in our care as well as getting potential new homes for our furry friends. Can you spare 2 hours? The collections are a great way of helping. You get to meet lots of lovely people along the way and listen to stories of peoples much loved pets.
Organising an event
Could you and a group of friends organise an event on behalf of Almost Home? How about running the Marathon, a sponsored walk, a sponsored silence? We will happily support you in any way we can.
This last 2 years we have been lucky enough to be charity partners with some of the Pets at Home Stores. Could you spare 2 hours during the fundraising drive to help raise some funds?
